Pretty sure he didn't. They haven't used him since the Rayburn show went off the air, I don't think.

(And fer God's sake, why would they? "Yeah, we're doing a one off show. Can we pay you to write seven questions?" You'd throw that at a staffer or two instead for a lot less money.)

Mainly, because he's Dick DeBartolo, dammit! MAD's Maddest Writer! If I were doing a one-off Match Game, I'd sure as hell pay to have the cachet of DeBartolo around. The man is a legend and a genius. And the underpaid interns writing the MG questions for GSM will pass into history.

I honestly can't figure out if this is sarcasm or not. Good to see that someone else listens to the Giz Wiz, though. (Although I dropped it from my iTunes list a couple weeks ago...between TWiT, Leo's KFI show, and Penn Jillette's show, I have more than enough on the iPod.)

Really? For a long-term series, I could see it, but we're talking most likely five questions. (two for two rounds (I don't see them doing the MGPM thing and playing three), and a spare locked and loaded if something comes acropper. I just don't see spending the money on that Dick, when you can use the dicks you already have and nobody is really gonna know the difference.

But they won't be underpaid interns, I'm a-bettin'.  They'll be segment producers who've studied DeBartolo's work closely.  That won't necessarily be enough to get it exactly right, but I'm confident that there won't be crappy writing in evidence.

Hell, they may even have used questions from the '70s episodes.

I know one of the writers very well, and lunched with them all on LMAD-GSM tape day. No Dick in sight   :-)

If their writing is half as funny as they were while scarfing Mexican chow, expect some good laughs.
